Early Intervention DDTCS - Center Based

A center based service designed to provide training and services for children and their families. Age birth to 3 yrs.

Early Intervention Community Based

A home based service designed to provide training and services for children and their families.  Age birth to 3 yrs.

Pre-school DDTCS - Center Based

A service designed to provide assistance to children who have been diagnosed as having a developmental disability or developmental delay in the age group three to 5 years.

Developmental Services

Developmental services are directed at the developmental and maintenance of life skills and community integration.

Adult Development  DDTCS - Center Based

A service which provides services to adults (age 21 years or older or graduated from a public school or have a certificate of completion) who have been diagnosed as having a developmental disability.

Work Activity - Center Based

A service which provides services and uses work training as a method of providing skills training to adults (age 21 years or older or graduated from a public school or has a certificate of completion) who have been diagnosed as having a developmental disability.

Home and Community Based Waiver

Waiver services include supportive living, alternative living, day habilitation services, adaptive equipment, case management, consultation, community experiences, and non-medical transportation.

Diagnosis and Evaluation

A psychological, medical evaluation or developmental testing to determine a person’s eligibility for services through Developmental Disabilities Services.

Case Management

Services provided by a certified case manager chosen by the consumer whose role(s) is to locate, coordinate, and monitor a group of services.

Transportation Services

Transportation services include transportation to and from eligible services as well as transportation when it is utilized as a means of carrying out the Individual Program Plan.

Listed here are the therapies that are offered by LES.  More information may be obtained by consulting with our staff.

Speech Therapy - Evaluation and Treatment

Evaluation and identification of children with communication or oro-pharyngeal (mouth or throat) disorder and delays in development of communication skills.  Services must be provided by a licensed/qualified person.

Occupational Therapy - Evaluation and Treatment

Services to address functional needs of the child regarding his/her adaptive development, adaptive behavior and play, sensory, motor, and postural development.  They are designed to improve the child's ability to perform tasks at home, school, and community settings.  Services must be provided by a licensed/qualified person.

Physical Therapy

Evaluation and treatment:  Services to promote gross motor function through enhancement of the child's musculoskeletal status, neuro-behavioral organization, perception, and motor development and effective adaptation of his/her environment. Skills such as crawling, walking, jumping, running, balancing and ball skills are examples of gross motor skills.  Skills must be provided by a licensed/qualified person.

Developmental Therapy

A service, which provides direct instruction to the parent or family member and a child to promote the child's acquistion of skills in a variety of developmental areas.
